Ballestas Islands, the Huacachina oasis, dune buggies, sandboarding and wine and pisco tasting, all in one day from Lima.
Experience the best of Peru's southern coast in a single day. We leave Lima for Paracas, where a speedboat takes us to the Ballestas Islands to see the Candelabra geoglyph, sea lions, Humboldt penguins and a wide variety of seabirds. We then continue to Ica to visit the Huacachina oasis and ride across its dunes in dune buggies, with the option to try sandboarding. We enjoy lunch with traditional dishes at a local winery, followed by a wine and pisco tasting, and on the way back we stop in Chincha, known for its traditional sweets and Afro-Peruvian music, before returning to Lima in the evening.
