Trip Overview
Diverse Peru: wildlife, culture and fun in 8 days along the coast and the Andes. We start in Lima and travel to Paracas to sail to the Ballestas Islands and see 'The Candelabra', sea lions, penguins and seabirds. In Ica we visit the El Catador winery with a wine and pisco tasting, the Huacachina oasis, and enjoy dune buggies and sandboarding. Then we fly to Cusco for the City Tour and nearby ruins, the Sacred Valley of the Incas with a buffet lunch, Machu Picchu by train with lunch in Aguas Calientes, Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain. Includes 7 hotel nights with breakfast (2 in Lima and 5 in Cusco), transfers, bus to Paracas, train to Machu Picchu, entrance fees and Spanish or English-speaking guides. Day 2: Paracas · Ballestas Islands · Ica · Huacachina
Early bus to Paracas (Cruz del Sur or similar). Boat trip to the Ballestas Islands to see 'The Candelabra', sea lions, penguins and seabirds. In Ica we visit the El Catador winery with a tasting of wines, piscos and cachinas, and the Huacachina Oasis. Dune buggy adventure and sandboarding lesson. Return to Lima and overnight.

Day 3: Lima · Cusco · City Tour & Ruins
Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. In the afternoon, City Tour: Cathedral, Qoricancha and the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 4: Sacred Valley of the Incas
Visit to Pisac and the villages of Ccoya, Lamay, Calca and Urubamba, with a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, guided visit to Ollantaytambo and its archaeological park. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 5: Machu Picchu
Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and bus up to the citadel. Guided tour of the Lookout, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana and the Main Square. Lunch in Aguas Calientes and train back to Cusco.

Day 6: Humantay Lake
4:00 a.m. departure to Soraypampa, breakfast and a 1.5-hour climb to the turquoise lake (4,200 m a.s.l.) at the foot of Salkantay and Humantay peaks. Lunch and return to Cusco around 6:00 p.m.

Day 7: Rainbow Mountain
4:00 a.m. departure to the foothills of Ausangate. Breakfast, hike with a professional guide to Vinicunca and box lunch. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 8: Cusco · Departure
Breakfast and transfer to the airport. End of our services.
