This quarry, still in operation, has become over time, thanks to the craftsmanship of the stonemasons, a huge canyon with walls over 30 meters high. The guide will explain the origin and geological formation of the quarries and how sillar is made and used to this day. We will see the giant carvings on the canyon walls, made by the stonemasons themselves, and watch how sillar is worked.
A sillar quarry no longer in operation. We will take a walk of about 20 minutes inside the small canyon carved by water. At the end we will see petroglyphs (llamas, suns, snakes and other figures) made by the area's ancient inhabitants.
